...that the Renault Nepta and Fiftie concepts are things that exist.
There is literally nothing about this car I would change, which is rare for me. I wish more people would design cool mirrors like those.
LOOK AT THAT LITTLE FIN!!!
Those headlights are absolutely gorgeous and cool, and really ahead of their time, too. The silver accents all over the car are tasteful and neat.
Oh and this is how the doors work! Screw you Mercedes SL! Up yours, Ford Evos! Renault has the biggest gullwing doors ever! Eat my baguette.
Yeah it’s not gorgoues, but it’s got style...
Those taillights need to be on more things. As far as I know, similar ones were on the Avantime.
There are some subtle differences between the concept art and the concept. Can YOU spot them all?!

Renault Nepta looks like someone pinched the front and back end of a 350z and stretched it.
The Renault Fiftie is a result of the Chevy SSR hate fucking a VW Bug.

Renault concepts from the 90s and early/mid 00s are my weak spot! They caused me wanting to be a car designer as a kid, which didn’t fully pan out, since I’m studying to become an automotive engineer, but anyway they caused me to do a thing with cars, so they have a special place in my heart. The Nepta is one if the most gracious concepts they ever designed.
Styling cues of the front of the Nepta later returned on the Laguna 3 and Megane 3.

I think some of the styling cues, particularly the shape of the headlights, ended up on the Megane convertible. It’s a fairly ugly car, which tarnishes the look of the concept for me.
From the yellow one, that style of tail-light ended up on at least one production car, the Avantime!
While they’re unique and interesting and even artsy, they’re ugly. I feel this is French cars in a nutshell, and most of the reason why they’ve been in decline for as long as anyone can remember.
